Over the past 10 years, more and more people are opting to buy Charity Christmas to show their support of their favourite charity. For many people, this is their only regular donation to a charity but few know the exact %age of card sales are donated.

160x160 collection tin Charity Christmas CardsIn the worse case scenario, Next and House of Fraser donate as little as 6% to the charity the Christmas Card aims to support depending on the card, or pack of cards purchased.

Consumers are encouraged to make sure they know how much money is being passed to the charity before purchasing from large stores, or better still, to buy the cards direct from a charity’s shop or website.

The public are also encouraged to check the back of the card, as this will show how much of your money is actually going to the nominated charity.

One thing to remember, no matter how little or large a charitable donation is, the Charity will always be grateful and you are making a significant difference to your chosen charity.
